We have been informed that crews are beginning work from Main Street to 4th Street on South Center Avenue to prepare for the final lift of asphalt, which is currently projected to take place early next week.
As work progresses, please use extra caution when traveling through the area and be mindful of construction crews and equipment.
With summer in full swing, parents, please take a moment to talk with your children about staying alert around all construction zones. In addition to the ongoing work on North Center Avenue, crews will now be active on South Center Avenue as well. Whether your children are walking or biking to the high school for breakfast or lunch programs, heading to the pool, or simply out enjoying their summer, remind them to use designated routes, watch for construction vehicles, and avoid work areas whenever possible.
Please note: Parking will be restricted in the area while crews complete the final layer of asphalt next week. Additional information will be shared as it becomes available.
