Hometown Sanitation Services LLC provides recycling services to Watonwan County via curbside pick up and recycling sheds in 8 locations throughout the county. Our curbside bin and recycling shed services accept plastics with the numbers 1, 2, & 5 along with the items on the acceptable list.

MADELIA SANITATION
Madelia Sanitation is our local garbage service. They provide services to both residential and businesses. Residential refuse is picked up weekly. Homeowners are responsible for supplying their own garbage receptacle. All items must be bagged in specially marked orange bags that can be purchased from the local grocery store or gas stations, or have an orange sticker on each bag. Orange stickers are sold at City Hall.
*Bags and/or stickers can not be tied to your can.
* Garbage can size can not exceed 30 gallons
* Weight per bag must not exceed 40 pounds
*Items outside of guidelines will be tagged and left
They also provide dumpster rental with multiple sizes to accommodate customer needs. Dumpster fees are for a 2 week rental which includes one dump. The dumpster will be removed when it is full or after two weeks, whichever comes first. You are required to pay a rental fee of $10.00 if you need to keep the dumpster for longer than the 2 week period. If you need the dumpster emptied more than one time, you will then need to pay the appropriate dumpster fee each time the dumpster is emptied in order to keep it.
