CITY OF MADELIA ANIMAL LICENSING AND OTHER INFORMATION
All dogs and cats need to be licensed and the license is good for one year. All licenses run from January 1st through December 31st of any given year. The fees are as follows:(updated 03/27/2012)
- Unaltered Animal $15.00
- Altered Animal $10.00
- Transfer Fee $3.00
Animals three (3) months or older must be licensed.
License can be purchased at City Hall – 116 West Main – Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A current certificate of rabies vaccination must be presented at the time of licensing. Dogs and cats must be under the control of the custodian at all times.
Animal noise – No person having charge of any animal shall allow the animal to unreasonably disturb the peace and quiet of any person. A custodian of any dog or cat shall clean from any sidewalk, street, park, school, public place or private property any feces of the dog or cat and properly dispose of such feces in a sanitary manner.
